When to Change Tractor Spark Plugs

The frequency of changing spark plugs on a tractor can vary based on usage and manufacturer recommendations. Here are some guidelines.

John Deere recommends changing spark plugs every 50 hours, which is approximately once a mowing season.

Spark plugs should be replaced at least once a year or after 100 hours of use to ensure proper ignition and engine performance.

For light use tractors (20-30 hours per year), some users suggest checking the condition of the spark plugs and cleaning them instead of replacing them annually.

Ultimately, it is essential to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for your specific tractor model to maintain optimal performance and prevent issues related to faulty spark plugs.
